Practical Guidance on Platting A panel of speakers including planning professionals experienced in the day-to-day administration and interpretation of plats from the public and private sector perspectives will provide a timely look at the law of platting. Presentations will include a discussion of the substantive and procedural requirements for plats at the municipal and county level, expert planning advice on plat dedications and the intricacies involved in the elimination of platted improvements, including solutions to the issues arising with antiquated subdivisions across the state, the application of common law rules and cases to platting and tips on how to ensure that a conveyance clearly provides for a specific result.
