Workers' Compensation Trial Advocacy Workshop

Course Classification: Intermediate Level
Live Presentation: June 14-15, 2013
OJCC--Rhode Building * 401 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33128

Course No. 1587R

Whether you are a recent graduate or a seasoned professional, the Trial Advocacy Workshop will change the way you approach trials, improving your performance exponentially. The trial conducted by participants will include issues involving the "fraud defense," subsequent intervening events, the applicability of major contributing cause, and the use or exclusion of surveillance evidence. This is a hands-on program limited to 24 attorney participants. The focus of the program includes practical application of the Rules of Evidence, direct and cross examination of expert and lay witnesses and trial strategy. Over 300 lawyers have experienced this program which was recently endorsed by Deputy Chief Judge David W. Langham, OJCC. "The fact that this program exists is a tribute to you and the rest of the faculty. I regret that this program was not available when I was beginning my life as a young litigator. However, it appears to me that there is significant value in this program even for experienced litigators. I concluded that, with the possible exception of a Board Certification Review Course years ago, I have never been to a more practical, effective continuing education opportunity"
