Course No. 1672R

This seminar is intended to provide practitioners with real life insight in handling challenging issues that arise in the course of a Florida probate proceeding. Speakers will focus on the impact of asset protection planning and estate tas apportionment in a probate administration, the rules governing notice, service and jurisdiction in estates, as well as overcoming common problems and challenges that arise during the probate process. Other topics include an update on Florida's continually evolving homestead laws, along with a session on properly closing out an estate. A Panel will speak on administering "quirky" estate assets, such as artwork, firearms, and the like. Finally, the seminar includes an ethics component focusing on an attorney's duties to the personal representative and other interested persons.
