The goal of the seminar is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Community Development Districts within Florida. Then seminar will start with a primer on community Development Districts ("CDD"), why and how CDDs are created. The seminar will then move to CDD issues and a practitioner should consider when contemplating a real estate transaction. An underwriter and bond counsel will discuss current and future trends of the bond market and bond market impacts on CDD transactions. A panel presentation will analyze issues of a failing/failed real estate project; when and how projects can be restructured in today's economy. We will close with a future trends presentation and a discussion of ethical considerations a practitioner should address regarding CDDs.
