This course is designed as a guide to Baker Act law and procedure for the civil practicioner and lay person. It covers the procedures, law, forms and process of a Baker Act. If you have ever had a client Baker Acted, or been asked questions about the Baker Act by clients concerned about a friend or family member, and were not able to respond with confidence, this course is for you. If your response to the time period of a Baker Act is "72" hours, this course is for you. This course also covers mental illness awareness, to help you better identify, understand and communicate with clients who have a mental health diagnosis.
