BAR LEADERS FROM ACROSS the state recently gathered in Sarasota for the 2011 Voluntary Bar Leaders Conference. The annual conference gives participants an opportunity to discuss voluntary bar association programs, share what works in their communities, and gather helpful tips on current hot topics. It includes topics such as taxes; staffed and non-staffed bar associations; seminars and CLEs; member communications; diversity; tips from experienced and successful local and specialty bar past presidents; and leadership opportunities beyond the voluntary bar presidency.
