Board Certification Annual Fee

Pursuant to BLSE Policy 2.04(c), all board certified attorneys are subject to an annual fee for each area certified. The current fee is $150. The annual fee is an important revenue source for the Certification Plan since the program must operate on a self-sustaining basis. The annual fee is authorized pursuant to Rule 6-3.11(c), Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, and the amount is set by the Board of Governors.

To reduce costs, annual fee notifications are now sent by email each year in February to the member's record email address on file with The Florida Bar. The email will be sent from the Board of Legal Specialization and Education at blse@flabar.org. Please be sure your email account can accept emails from this address. Members without an email address on file will receive the invoice via regular mail. Special requests to receive paper invoices in lieu of the electronic notification may be submitted to Data Manager Julie Coiro at jcoiro@flabar.org at any time.

Please note electronic payments cannot be accepted for this fee at this time. All payments must be submitted by check made payable to The Florida Bar and accompanied by the completed invoice.
