"Stabilizing Revenues for the State Courts System and Clerks of Court,"
the Nov. 1 report and recommendations of the Revenue Stabilization Workgroup, details findings and recommendations to provide stable funding for the Core Court System. Talking points cover the key aspects of the report and the recommendations. 
Forum on Court Funding (57 min. 324 MB Windows Media Video - allow 5min. for download)
A 57-minute model presentation for voluntary bar associations covers local judicial statistics and consequences of a judiciary that is not adequately funded. The educational presentation, which provides one hour general CLER, including ethics credit (Course #85491), may be made to lawyer and community groups. For more information contact fwalker@flabar.org.
The Florida Bar Voluntary Bar Association Diversity Leadership Grants
The purpose of this voluntary bar association grant program is to support initiatives and programs which encourage diversity, diversity training and dialogue among lawyers in Florida through financial support of conferences, seminars, summits and symposia planned and hosted by local and specialty bar associations.
Examples of Voluntary Bar Diversity Seminars
In an effort to assist Voluntary Bar Associations statewide become well equipped to address the topic of diversity, we have gathered the following information. Several local Bar Associations have provided some valuable background information that may serve as a template for organizing a diversity summit/symposium in your communities.

Law Day May 1
The 2012 Law Day theme "No Courts, No Justice, No Freedom" provides the opportunity to highlight the role of the nation’s courts in our constitutional democracy and to foster public understanding about the judiciary. Join us in sharing your Law Day Activities throughout the state!
If your bar association has Law Day Activities scheduled, please include your bar association name, activity descriptions, location and name of the Law Day committee chair to Maria Simmons Johnson at mjohnson@flabar.org. The Law Day 2012 activities will be published in a statewide press release sent out by The Florida Bar on May 1.
