Position Description

POSITION TITLE:
IT ANALYST III - Development - Information Technology
Reports to:
IT Manager – Admin Div
Supervises The Following Positions:
All team members on assigned projects
Summary Function:
Responsible for business application development, project management and ongoing support for applications supporting The Florida Bar’s Admin Division.

Business Solutions (Application) Development & Maintenance - Applications including (but not limited to): General Ledger, Payroll, HR, and Membership Management

Project Management - Full Life-Cycle of Project Management: Analysis, Design, Testing, Implementation and Support

Support – Tier II and III level support of internal software applications and external (website)

Administration - Timekeeping, Documenting Procedures, Purchasing (as assigned), Hiring (as assigned)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM SATISFACTORILY:
Knowledge of:
Primary Programming Languages: LotusScript, Java, Javascript, HTML
Computer systems, networks and workstations

Program design / development methodology and standards
Pertinent system software including: General Ledger, HR, Membership Management, Payroll
Planning, estimating and scheduling techniques

Skilled in:
System analysis
Practices and techniques of project / task management
Secondary Programming Languages: RPG, LANSA

Ability to:
Design, develop and test business solutions using The Florida Bar’s methodologies and standards

Implement and support computer systems
Interpret policies and procedures
Troubleshoot, identify and solve problems
Determine priorities
Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Work in a team environment
Interact effectively and courteously with a wide variety of people both within and without the organization
Consistently provide an excellent service-oriented attitude
Manage and maintain a high level of confidentiality
Use discretion and independent judgment


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR POSITION:
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in a field of computers or related field (proof of degree required at interview)

REQUIRED MINIMUM PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE:
Seven (7) years of computer systems analysis & support, and/or Seven (7) years business systems development

OTHER JOB-RELATED REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION (e.g., work schedule, physical and mental requirements, language requirements, overtime, travel, use of equipment/machines, etc.):
Work Schedule – Normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Mon-Fri (occasional nights and/or weekends may be required)
Travel – Minimal travel requirements. Potential travel times include: Training, Conferences and Software Implementation

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Related experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

Two (2) years of staff or project management preferred
