Position Description

POSITION TITLE:
Website Technical Manager
Reports to:
Director of Information Technology
Supervises The Following Positions:
N/A
Summary Function:
Responsible for the oversight, maintenance and design of The Bar’s website. Including: Design and Development of web applications, site navigation and layout, web server administration and review and control of all in-house and third party developed applications promoted to the site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Website Administration – Administers and monitors The Bar’s website running on Lotus Domino / Websphere Portal platform. Ensures performance and availability of website. Reviews and monitors the work of other IT Staff and third party developers when they are promoting changes to the website.

Website Design/Development – Responsible for the design of the overall site navigation and layout, primary applications, shopping cart and site content management databases. Assists with development other Bar Division applications including: Online CLE, Lawyer Referral, Fee Payments.

Support - Tier III level support of website problem resolution support for staff. Coordinates with Help Desk and other IT staff to determine problem resolutions and priorities, also monitors resolution progress and follow-up.

Project/Task Management – Manages work on website development and infrastructure change projects. Will also assist and review work of other IT Staff or third party developers when implementing changes to the website.

Administration - Timekeeping, Documenting Procedures, Planning (as assigned), Purchasing (as assigned).

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR POSITION:

Minimum Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in a computer or related field (proof of degree required at interview).

Minimum Required Professional Experience:
Seven (7) years of computer systems development, administration and support experience.

Additional Information:
Additional experience in computer systems development, administration and support may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
