Board of Governors
The 52- member Board of Governors has exclusive authority to formulate and adopt matters of policy concerning the activities of the Bar, subject to limitations imposed by the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar. The Board selects the executive director of the Bar, who devotes full-time to directing the overall administration of The Florida Bar. Committees and sections or members of the Bar may submit topics to the president for inclusion on the agenda for Board meetings which are held bimonthly. All Board members serve without pay, although the public members can be reimbursed for most of their travel expenses.
17th Circuit Board Election
Lorna E. Brown-Burton and Walter G. "Skip" Campbell are in a runoff election for Seat 1/17th Circuit. Ballots were mailed by Election Services Corp. Nov. 13; 17th circuit Bar members may also vote online using instructions included with the ballots. All votes must be received by 11:59 pm on Thurs., Dec. 3.
