Dade Bar sets Privacy and Data Security Law Summit

The Dade County Bar has slated its Second Annual South Florida Privacy and Data Security Law Summit for March 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Newman Alumni Center at the University of Miami.

“Data privacy and security is a very important topic and hot issue right now,” said John Graham, chair of the Committee on Law and Technology for the Dade County Bar. “Attorneys need to be able to consult with their corporate clients about data privacy for patients and customers, for example.”

Graham said law firms also need to protect against breach of client information.

“Our committee believes that this summit is of interest to all members of The Florida Bar,” he said.
