S mith petitions for reinstatement

Pursuant to Rule 3-7.10, Jeffrey Anak Smith has petitioned the Supreme Court for Bar reinstatement.

Smith was suspended from the practice of law for 91 days, effective April 21, 2014, for misconduct involving loan modification matters in which he purchased leads from Internet companies and had his staff directly solicit clients both telephonically and by email within and outside of Florida. Smith failed to adequately supervise his staff, which resulted in a lack of diligence in the clients’ matters and a failure to maintain adequate client communications. Smith’s clients received inaccurate information regarding their matters from his staff. Smith failed to comply with his written legal fee refund policy.

Any persons having knowledge bearing upon Smith’s fitness or qualifications to resume the practice of law should contact Kenneth H. P. Bryk, Bar Counsel, The Florida Bar, Orlando Branch Office, The Gateway Center, 1000 Legion Place, Suite 1625, Orlando 32801-1050, phone 407-515-3226, [email protected].
