YLD President R.J. Haughey plans to incorporate public service projects into most of the YLD’s meetings this year as a way to give back to the communities where the board meets. “A lot of the members of the board and I think that it is a way for us to positively impact the places we visit,” Haughey said. The young lawyer representatives spent a Saturday morning working on the Baldwin residence in Newtown Estates. Recently widowed, Mrs. Baldwin is employed in the maintenance department at Booker Middle School and is raising a granddaughter.
