Sherri L. Johnson has opened Johnson Legal of Florida, P.L., located at 5602 Marquesas Circle, Suite 208, Sarasota 34233, (941) 926-1155. Johnson will focus her practice on property tax and exemption disputes throughout Florida, as well as general commercial litigation and appeals.

Peter C. Vilmos and Michael A. Nardella have joined Burr & Forman in Orlando. Vilmos joins as counsel to the firm’s construction litigation practice group and Nardella joins as an associate in the creditors’ rights and bankruptcy practice group.

Antonio Castro has joined Infante, Zumpano, Hudson & Miloch in Coral Gables as a partner and co-chair of the firm’s litigation department.

Heather Gorin and Cary Steklof have joined Ver Ploeg & Lumpkin in Miami as associates. Gorin and Steklof will focus on insurance coverage and bad faith litigation law.

Mark D. Hobson has joined Devine Goodman Rasco & Wells in Miami as of counsel in the transactional group. Hobson focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, complex purchase and distribution arrangements, commercial finance, joint ventures, asset-based lending matters, export-import bank guaranteed and insured transactions, cross-border transactional matters, corporate governance, and intellectual property matters.

Tae Shin has joined Roetzel in Orlando as an associate. Shin focuses his practice in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, business taxation, and business succession planning.

Tito S. Smith, Samuel J. Horovitz, Susan N. Novak, and Ashley K. Williams have joined Rogers Towers in Jacksonville. Smith joins as a shareholder in the St. Augustine office and practices primarily in the areas of banking law, real estate, probate, and estate planning. Horovitz joins as an associate in the labor and employment department. Novak joins as an assocaite in the litigation department and will practice in the areas of commercial litigation, torts, and civil trial practice. Williams joins as an associate in the litigation department. Her practice will focus on commercial litigation, asset recovery, and civil trial.

Lindsey H. Lamchick has joined Devine Goodman Rasco & Wells in Miami as a senior associate in the litigation group. Lamchick concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation in state and federal court.

Mark R. Brown was promoted to senior attorney at Dade Legal Aid, where he has been practicing for the past decade.

Albert R. Meyer has joined The Florida Healthcare Law Firm in Delray Beach as an associate.

Natalie Jean Martin has joined Diaz Law in Orlando as an associate. Martin will take on general civil practice work, with a focus on family law, children’s law, adoption, and child advocacy.

Lila A. Jaber, J. Larry Williams, Matthew Feil, Beth Keating, and Brady J. Benford have joined Gunster in Tallahassee as shareholders in the firm’s newly established government affairs group.

Kelly Parsons-Kwiatek and Michael Woods have become partners of Cobb Cole. Parsons-Kwiatek works in the Daytona Beach office and practices complex civil litigation with a focus on employment and labor law, as well as intellectual property litigation. Woods works in the Deland office, and his practice consists of regulatory and administrative law-related matters with a focus on land development and local government matters, as well as environmental law.

Justin Steinmark and John Carl Hornack have joined Sachs Sax Caplan in Boca Raton as associates. Steinmark practices in the areas of real estate and community association law. Hornack practices in the areas of community association, foreclosure, and labor and employment law.

J. Martin Knaust has joined Adams and Reese in St. Petersburg as an associate in its transactions practice group.
