E-filing expands in the 17th Circuit

Chief Judge Peter Weinstein and Clerk of Court Howard Forman have announced the implementation of e-filing on existing cases in Circuit Civil Division 9 and Complex Litigation Divisions 1, 7, 19, 26, and 27 of the 17th Judicial Circuit.

The circuit is using the statewide portal ( for this endeavor. The statewide electronic filing portal is the central point through which all electronic filing will be conducted throughout the state and for remaining divisions of the circuit as they are implemented.

“We have had much success in e-filing in the probate and family divisions and we are excited to begin offering this service to lawyers practicing in the civil division,” Chief Judge Weinstein said. “As one of the largest circuit civil divisions in Florida, this is an important step toward realizing the goal of a fully electronic statewide court system.”

Forman, clerk of the court for Broward County, said, “We are committed to continue moving forward with electronic filing and related paperless services in our office.”
