A vacancy exists on The Florida Bar Board of Governors due to the resignation of 16th Circuit board member Bernadette Restivo.
The office commences immediately upon the certification of the election results and continues for a term ending June 23, 2017, or until a successor is elected and qualifies.
Pursuant to Rule 2-3.9, nominating petitions for the vacancy must be filed with the office of the Executive Director on or before 5 p.m., September 15. Election ballots will be mailed on or before September 25, and voted ballots must be received prior to midnight (EST), October 15. Nominating petitions for the 16th Circuit, Seat 1, vacancy must be signed by no fewer than five members in good standing whose official Bar address is in the 16th Circuit.
