The Seventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is now accepting applications to fill a circuit vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Hubert L. Grimes.
Applicants must have been members of the Bar for the preceding five years, registered voters, and reside in the territorial jurisdiction of the court at the time he or she assumes office.
Applications can be downloaded from the governor’s website at www.flgov.com by clicking the “Judicial” tab, and are also available from Christopher J. Greene, JNC Chair, 238 Ponte Vedra Park Drive, Suite 104, Ponte Vedra Beach 32082.
An original and nine copies of the completed application and attachments must be delivered to Greene, along with an electronic copy of the completed application, attachments (either on a flash drive or CD-R, and electronic applications should be in .pdf or .gif format) and photograph (either in .jpg or .gif format), no later than 5 p.m., November 8. The submission of printed photographs accompanying the hard copy applications is encouraged. In addition to the original nine copies, applicants must provide two printed redacted copies and one electronic redacted copy of the application which complies with Chapter 119 and Florida’s public records law, if you claim the right to redaction.
