Tampa area bars host ‘Demystifying the JNC Process’ program

THE GEORGE EDGECOMB BAR ASSOCIATION, Hillsborough County Bar Association, Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers, and Tampa Hispanic Bar Association held a joint CLE program titled “Demystifying the JNC Process.” The discussion covered both the application and selection process to serve on a judicial nominating commission, as well as the commissions’ role in the judicial appointment process. Panelists included then Florida Bar President-elect Bill Schifino, Jr.; Judge Daryl M. Manning; William Spicola, general counsel to Gov. Rick Scott; and Cynthia Oster, a member of the Florida Second District Court of Appeal JNC. From the left are Fentrice D.
