NOTICE OF MEETINGS OF THE TWELFTH CIRCUIT JUDICIAL NOMINATING COMMISSION

Notice is hereby given that the Twelfth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission will convene a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. and would last until completion (estimated 6 p.m., but may be later) at the Judge Lynn N. Silvertooth Judicial Center (2002 Ringling Boulevard, Sarasota, Fl. 34237, 8th floor conference room) for the purpose of discussing the judicial applications received by the Commission as a result of the vacancy in the County Court of Sarasota County. The vacancy was created due to the appointment of Judge Kimberly Bonner to the Circuit Court.

Notice is hereby given that the Twelfth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission will convene on the following dates and times for the interview, deliberation and voting process:

Monday, Sept. 16 at 1:30 p.m. - completion (estimated 6 p.m.)
Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 1:30 p.m. - completion (estimated 6 p.m.)
Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 1:30 p.m. – completion (estimated 6 p.m.)
Friday, Sept. 20 at 1:30 p.m. - completion (estimated 6 p.m.)

The meetings listed above will take place at Judge Lynn N. Silvertooth Judicial Center (2002 Ringling Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34237) in the conference room on the 8th floor. If any of the above meetings last longer than the closing of the Sarasota Silvertooth Judicial Center, the meetings will be reconvened at Syprett, Meshad, Resnick, Lieb, Dumbaugh, Jones, Krotec & Westheimer, P.A., located at 1900 Ringling Blvd. in Sarasota until completion.

Said convening of the Twelfth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is for the purpose of selecting and submitting to the Governor the names of highly qualified individuals for consideration and appointment for the position of a County Court Judge.

The Twelfth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission will meet for the following purposes:


1. Discussion;
2. Assignment of applicants;

3. Application discussion;
4. Application screening process;
5. Investigative process;
6. The interview and voting process;
7. Such other matters as may come before the Commission.
