Carlton Fields and Jorden Burt are in the process of merging and during the transition period the name of the combined firm will be Carlton Fields Jorden Burt. The new firm will include more than 370 lawyers and government consultants in 10 offices. Carlton Fields has approximately 300 attorneys and government consultants with offices located in major cities in Florida and in Atlanta and New York City. Jorden Burt has more than 70 lawyers with offices in Washington, D.C., Miami, and Hartford.

Dennis LaRosa has joined Roig, Tutan, Rosenberg, Martin & Stoller in Deerfield Beach as a health care policy advisor. LaRosa will consult with clients on health care clinic licensure in regard to personal injury protection insurance and fraud.

Renita F. Henry has joined Chorowski & Clary in Ft. Lauderdale as an associate. The firm represents clients in all aspects of marital and family law.

Meghana Saoji has joined Chorowski & Clary in Ft. Lauderdale as an associate. The firm represents clients in all aspects of marital and family law.

Pooneh Charkhian has joined the Law Office of Izquierdo & Marín in Ft. Lauderdale as an associate. Charkhian will focus her practice on immigration and criminal law.

Marc H. Auerbach has joined McDonald Hopkins in Miami as a member in the national health care practice group. Auerbach counsels a wide range of health care entities including physician groups, HMOs, hospitals, academic medical centers, diagnostic facilities, and medical device manufacturers.

Brett H. Sifrit has joined the Farr Law Firm in Punta Gorda as an associate in the trusts and estates practice group. He will focus on estate planning, trust administration, wills, tax planning, and real estate.

Jeanne Crandall has joined Killgore, Pearlman, Stamp, Ornstein & Squires in Orlando as a partner. Crandall practices in the areas of commercial litigation, securities arbitration, banking, and antitrust.

Jamie Rozzi has joined Killgore, Pearlman, Stamp, Ornstein & Squires in Orlando as an associate. Rozzi practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, charitable planning, and elder law.

Audrey Hildes Schechter of Largo has associated with Sadowski Fischer in New York, handling Medicare fraud and False Claims Act Qui Tam litigation in Florida, New York, and throughout the United States.

Heidi H. Raschke has joined Carlton Fields in Tampa as of counsel in the insurance practice group. Raschke represents business insurers in the defense of first-party property insurance coverage and extra-contractual matters.

Upchurch Watson White & Max’s new Miami office will take the place of its current location in Miami’s Sabadell Financial Center. The doors of Suite 507 of the Biscayne Building, 19 W. Flagler St., open November 4. As a result of the move, UWWM principal Rodney A. Max will be based at this new office, as well as in Birmingham, Ala.

Sheba Abraham has joined Goldberg, Racila, D’Alessandro & Noone in Ft. Myers. Abraham will practice personal injury law.

Daniel A. Espino has joined Weiss Serota Helfman Pastoriza Cole & Boniske in the Miami-Dade office as an associate in the local government division, land use and zoning group, and government affairs and procurement group. He also will serve as an assistant town attorney in Medley.

Adam Weisholtz of Boca Raton has been appointed as special assistant United States attorney in the Southern District of Florida. He will serve in the Miami office.

Christopher D. Brown has joined Beasley & Demos in Miami. Brown focuses in a range of tort defense areas, including products liability, construction, professional liability, and aviation, as well as employment law and commercial litigation.

Nicolette Kramer has become a senior associate at The Association Law Firm in Orlando.

Robert Griscti and Jennifer Lester have joined Dean, Mead & Bovay in Gainesville. Griscti and Lester each serve as of counsel, mutually overseeing the office’s business litigation practice. Griscti’s practice focuses on appellate law, professional licensing, government investigations, civil litigation, and regulatory compliance. Lester focuses on commercial litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, and fiduciary proceedings.

Charles H. Kaplan has joined Sills Cummis & Gross in New York as a member of the employment and labor practice group.

Teresa J. “Teri” Sopp becomes senior lead counsel for the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, First DCA Region in Tallahassee.

Dina A. Keever has joined McCabe Rabin in West Palm Beach as senior counsel. Keever will handle complex civil and criminal matters and will concentrate on qui tam “whistleblower” actions.

Eric John Vasquez has joined Bond, Schoeneck & King in Naples as a partner in the litigation department. His practice areas include complex commercial/business litigation, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, employment-related matters, summary administrative proceedings, and civil rights.

Leonard P. Haberman has joined The Law Offices of Craig Goldenfarb in West Palm Beach. Haberman focuses on medical malpractice and general personal injury.

Alice W. Weinstein has joined Fowler White Boggs in Tampa as of counsel and will practice in the tax, trusts, and estates practice group.

Robert M. Norway has joined GrayRobinson in Orlando as of counsel in the litigation practice area. Norway focuses on copyright, trademark, patent litigation, constitutional claims, business torts and contract claims, insurance disputes, breach of privacy claims, access to public records, and products liability defense.

Shawn Hogue and Olivia Kelman have joined K&L Gates in Miami as associates. Both will focus their practices on commercial disputes.

Cindy Duque Bonilla has joined Walton Lantaff Schroeder & Carson in Orlando with a focus on civil litigation, business law, commercial litigation, personal injury, premises liability, wrongful death, product liability, foreclosure defense, evictions, contracts, and will preparation.
