The Senior Lawyers Committee shall serve the interests and needs of the profession by fostering an interchange of ideas, sharing the accumulated knowledge and experience of its members, and addressing issues that are of particular significance to senior lawyers.
How to Join
To serve on the Senior Lawyers Committee, you must be a member in good standing, pursuant to Bylaw 2-8.1, and file a COMMITTEE PREFERENCE FORM. The form is online each year in each member’s Florida Bar Member Portal from December 1 through January 15 and can be completed and submitted online during this period. Committee appointments are made in the spring by The Florida Bar President-Elect, and new Committee terms begin each fiscal year on July 1.
50-Year Member & Senior Counselor Recognition
In the best interest and health of all Florida Bar members, last year’s 50-Year Member and Senior Counselor Luncheon was postponed until this year’s Annual Convention in Orlando. All honorees will be contacted with details regarding the rescheduled luncheon. In the meantime, enjoy these greetings and remarks to honorees from fellow 50-year member William J. Stewart, Jr.
