The free 2020 Winter CLE — What Paralegals Need to Know About Trial Preparation, Psychology of Jury selection, and Cyber Security — and FRP Networking Reception will take place Friday, February 7, 2020 in conjunction with The Florida Bar’s Winter meeting in Orlando at the Hyatt Regency.
To attend both events you must register as soon as possible; seats are limited.
The CLE will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 5:30 p.m., followed by the FRP Jazz Networking Reception from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Jazzy Hors D’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.

What Paralegals Need to Know About Trial Preparation, Psychology of Jury
- What You Need to Know about Trial – Aside From the Facts: This seminar will describe the ins and outs of trial preparation, variables important for the evaluation of a case before going to trial, selection of experts, jury selection, and all other aspects of the events which can occur during and after a trial. This will include the point of view of the paralegal who assists the attorney in all aspects of pre-trial and trial. Presenters: Scott A. - Jury De-Selection – Psychology of Jury Selection: Discussion as to the analysis of a jury, including how to deselect the wrong jury for your case using strategy for peremptory challenges vs cause challenges. Using social media and research in developing valid/reliable juror profiles and how to conduct background intel on jurors even after the verdict is read (or if it’s even advisable).
