Judge Christopher Sprysenski

with The Hon. Christopher Sprysenski, 18th Circuit
Artificial intelligence is undoubtedly touching every professional service industry, including the practice of law. Understanding how artificial intelligence can add value to both clients and the judiciary—while also recognizing its risks and how to mitigate them—will be a key differentiator between law firms that embrace technology and continue to grow, and those that are left behind. This course will: explain the areas of legal practice where artificial intelligence is currently having the greatest impact; distinguish between AI tools designed for lawyers and those intended for general consumers, and understand the risks of using non-legal AI tools; apply key ethical considerations from The Florida Bar regarding the use of AI; and identify practical AI tools that can help paralegals work more efficiently and save time in supporting lawyers.
