Welcome to the Voluntary Bar Center, a collection of resources and information to assist Florida’s local and specialty bar associations with leadership, operations and membership.
Urgent Information on Approval for Voluntary Bar CLE Courses Related to COVID-19
Florida voluntary bar associations providing remote programming related to the pandemic will now be able to get those courses approved for CLE credit.
Beginning March 24, The Florida Bar LSE course approval team will remotely review and approve a limited number of timely and relevant CLE course submissions during the Bar’s temporary closure.
The courses should be directly or indirectly related to the COVID-19 pandemic and may include, but are not limited to, teleworking, mental health and wellness, ethics, technology, or specific programming needs arising out of an unexpectedly modified business climate.
For CLE approval, the course must be held between now and Friday, May 15.
Local bar associations should email an application for CLE accreditation, however, instead of applicable fees being remitted with the application, voluntary bars will be invoiced. If the course has no fee based on the application criteria, then no fees will be charged. In addition, late fees and rush fees will not be charged for these timely pandemic-related submissions.
Please remember that this process is being done remotely and the turnaround time will depend on the number of applications received and the team’s other remote work. Courses will be reviewed and approved in the order applications are received.
All regular CLE applications for programs after May 15 and those unrelated to the current pandemic should be submitted in the regular course of business following instructions on the application.
