Celebrating the judiciary in Miami

Citrus County Bar Association President Melisa Militello hosted a holiday open house on Dec. 13, where numerous members of the local legal community donated toys and money to benefit Citrus County families in need. Holiday luncheon in Port St. Lucie

Florida Bar President-elect, John Stewart was the guest speaker at Port St. Lucie Bar Association’s holiday luncheon. Stewart joined PSLBA President Sara Fairbrother Davis in spreading good cheer as members filled a table with toys to benefit Voices For Children of Okeechobee & The Treasure Coast Inc.

Season Spirit

It was a great night at the Itsy Bitsy Jingle Bell Joint Committee happy hour on Dec. 12. Orange County Bar Association’s Family Law Committee spearheaded the party for their committee as well as the Business Law, Immigration Law, ADR, In-house Council, Tax Law and Real Property committees.

Spreading Holiday Cheer

Generosity and helping those in need is a holiday tradition for the Jacksonville Bar Association. Again this year, JBA teamed up with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office to help deliver gifts to more than 250 seniors. Each year, the association partners with Aging True and Meals on Wheels to provide local shut-in seniors with holiday cheer. The Ugly Sweaters were in full bloom at the Manatee County Bar Association’s annual holiday party. And what a contest it was! The ugliest sweater winner won a gift certificate to O‘Bricks and the raffle winner won two tickets to a Tampa Bay Lightning Game – center ice!

10-year partnership with Pace Center

Palm Beach County Women Lawyers had much to celebrate during the holidays. December marked a decade-long partnership with the Pace Center for Girls Palm Beach, including the Breakfast and Books book club program and the annual holiday party. PCB FAWL generously provided gifts to all the girls; and CarltonFields sponsored the lunch and cake.

Senior tech training in Orlando

The Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association teamed up with the Youth Enrichment and Senior Service Center for the seniors holiday party.  At the event,  GOAABA board member Avita Samaroo spoke to more than 60 senior citizens regarding personal injury issues and how to use a smartphone.

Deck the Chairs

‘Twas the season to add holiday cheer and lifeguard chairs! Jacksonville Beach Bar Association decked a chair with decorations and helped spread the holiday spirit! The chairs brought color and fun to the beach during December.
