Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed in Orlando raised $9,100 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at its “Lucky 13” annual summer fundraiser.
To raise the money, firm employees participated in various activities such as purchasing raffle tickets, carnations, cookies, ice cream, casual day passes, and more between June 21 and August 29. But perhaps the most well-attended event was the annual kickoff where employees purchased tickets to dunk lawyers and other guests in a large water dunk tank. The firm has been hosting the summer fundraiser for 13 years and has raised a grand total of $139,392.44.
“Every year, employees look forward to this event and even plan their dunking strategies in advance,” said Meredith Level, a longtime partner at the firm who heads the firm’s charitable contribution committee.
