Judge Griffin reprimanded

A stipulation that will result in a public reprimand for a 19th Circuit judge for a campaign law violation has been approved by the Supreme Court.

The court on June 18 gave its support to the stipulation between the JQC and Judge Victoria L. Griffin.

According to the agreement, Griffin opened her campaign account for her 2014 race and lent her campaign money before filing her qualifying paperwork with the state, as required in F.S. Ch. 106.

“Judge Griffin accepts full responsibility and acknowledges that the conduct should not have occurred. We accept the stipulation and approve the JQC’s findings and recommended sanction of a public reprimand,” the court said.

The court acted in Inquiry Concerning a Judge, No. 14-482 re: Victoria L. Griffin, case no. SC15-865.
