Seventh JNC to fill two vacancies

The Seventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is now accepting applications to fill two vacancies created by the resignations of Judge William A. Parsons and Judge C. McFerrin Smith III.

Applicants must have been a member of The Florida Bar for the preceding five years, a registered voter, and must be a resident of the territorial jurisdiction of the court at the time he or she assumes office.

Applications can be downloaded from The Florida Bar’s website at www.floridabar.org and are also available from the office of Christopher J. Greene, JNC Chair, 238 Ponte Vedra Park Drive, Suite 104, Ponte Vedra Beach 32082

An original and nine copies of the completed application and attachments must be delivered to Greene, along with an electronic copy of the aforementioned completed application, attachments (either on flash drive or CD-R, and electronic applications should be in PDF or GIF format) and photograph (either in JPEG or GIF format). The submission of printed photographs accompanying hard copy applications is encouraged. In addition to the original and nine copies, applicants must provide two printed redacted copies and one electronic redacted copy of the application which complies with Chapter 119 and Florida’s public records law, if you claim the right to redaction. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m., September 23.
