Fourth Circuit JNC accepting applications for Clay County vacancy

The Fourth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission is now accepting applications to fill a Clay County vacny created by the retirement of Judge Richard Townsend.

Applicants must have been a member of The Florida Bar for the preceding five years, a registered voter, and must be a resident of the territorial jurisdiction of the court at the time he or she assumes office.

Applications are available on the Bar’s website.

A complete paper version of the application must be delivered to Gilbert L. Feltel, Jr., JNC Chair, One Independent Drive, Suite 1700, Jacksonville 32202; a PDF version of their complete application with a color photograph to [email protected]; and a redacted version of the application excluding all exempt information under Chapter 119, F.S. or other applicable public records law to [email protected].

The PDF files submitted should be named so that the applicant’s name and “redacted” or “unredacted” is readily apparent in the name of the attachment.

All applications must be received by 5 p.m. on May 20. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
