Garnishment Defense 101
Overview
Participants will learn how to understand and apply garnishment exceptions for low-income clients. Speaker Michelle Trunkett, advocacy director of Florida Rural Legal Services will:
- Provide an overview of the garnishment process
- Review different types of garnishments
- Review the most common exemptions applicable in garnishment cases
- Discuss how to claim exemptions and creditor objections
