Overview

Participants will learn how to understand and apply garnishment exceptions for low-income clients. Speaker Michelle Trunkett, advocacy director of Florida Rural Legal Services will:

  • Provide an overview of the garnishment process
  • Review different types of garnishments
  • Review the most common exemptions applicable in garnishment cases
  • Discuss how to claim exemptions and creditor objections
