Members of the public are invited to apply on or before March 22, 2019, for one three-year term on the Florida Board of Bar Examiners. The Supreme Court of Florida will appoint one public member to serve on the Florida Board of Bar Examiners. Board members should be willing and able to devote the equivalent of three to four days’ work a month, or up to 350 or more hours per year, on Board business, depending on committee assignments.
Board members should be interested in seeking to improve the examination and its administration, and to evaluate carefully the character and fitness of applicants seeking admission to the Bar. Board members should be free of adverse interests, conflicting duties or inconsistent obligations that may interfere or appear to interfere with the proper administration of the Board’s mandate from the Court.
The vacancy will occur on Nov. 1, 2019 with the expiration of the term of Robert D. Shaw, Jr., of Orlando.
