FLORIDA BAR ANNOUNCES FINAL 2021 ELECTION RESULTS FOR BOARD OF GOVERNORS
TALLAHASSEE – One seat on The Florida Bar Board of Governors has been decided in a runoff election. Winning a two-year term on the board is Michael J. Gelfand, Fifteenth Circuit, Seat 4.
Gelfand outpolled Manual Farach, 946-802. He will take office June 11, 2021.
Ballots were sent to eligible attorneys in the contested circuit. The deadline to vote was Thursday, April 22.
In addition, there was one unopposed candidate who will serve as a new BOG member, Gordon J. Glover for the Fifth Circuit, Seat 1.
The Board of Governors is the governing body of The Florida Bar, with exclusive authority to formulate and adopt matters of policy concerning the activities of the 109,000-member Bar, subject to limitations imposed by The Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
