The Thirteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission announces the list of applicants to be considered for nomination to fill two vacancies on the County Court of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in and for Hillsborough County, created by the elevation of the Hon. Alissa M. Ellison and the Hon. Jared E. Smith to the Circuit Court.

The following individuals have applied to the Thirteen Circuit JNC for nomination to the Hillsborough County Court:

The commission encourages and seeks comments regarding the qualifications of these applicants from the public and from members of the Bench and Bar. Comments may be addressed to Thomas Newcomb Hyde, chairman, Thirteenth Circuit JNC, [email protected] or 9916 Chris Craft Court, Tampa, Florida 33615. Comments must be received no later than Oct. 25, to be considered by the commission.

The commission will meet on Oct. 31, at 9 a.m. at the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Ferguson Law Center, 1610 North Tampa Street, Tampa, to conduct interviews. The commission will submit the names of nominees for these vacant judgeships to Gov. Ron DeSantis on Nov. 1.
