18TH CIRCUIT JNC ANNOUNCES CIRCUIT COURT VACANCY IN BREVARD COUNTY

The 18^th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission announces a vacancy in the Circuit Court of Brevard County to fill the vacancy created by the elevation of Circuit Judge John M. Harris to the 5^th District Court of Appeal.

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have been a member of The Florida Bar for the preceding five years, a registered voter, and must be a resident of the territorial jurisdiction of the court at the time of assuming office. Applicants must meet the qualifications for circuit court judges described in Article V, Section 8 of the Florida Constitution.

APPLICATIONS: Applications can be downloaded from the Florida Bar’s Website at www.floridabar.org.

All applicants must deliver:

• One original completed application with attachments and recent color photograph along with nine complete copies to:

DEADLINE: The deadline for submission of the application is noon, Friday, Sept. 14. Any application delivered after the deadline will not be considered.

INTERVIEWS: Interviews are tentatively scheduled to be held Friday, Oct. 5, and Monday, Oct. 8 (if needed based upon the number of applicants) at the Maxwell C. King Center, 3865 N Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32935. An interview schedule with the dates and times of each interview will be provided after the application deadline.
