1ST CIRCUIT JNC ANNOUNCES INTERVIEW SCHEDULE

As a result of the resignation of the Hon. Mary Polson, there now exists a vacancy on the First Judicial Circuit Bench. Gov. Ron D. DeSantis has asked the First Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission to provide him with nominees for this vacancy. The Commission received eleven applications and will interview the applicants on Wed., Jan. 18, 2023 in accordance with the following schedule:

Interviews will take place in the Multimedia Room of The M.C. Blanchard Judicial Building, located at the Escambia County Courthouse, 190 W. Government St. Pensacola, Florida, 32502.

Members of the Bench, the Bar, and the public are encouraged to contact the Commissioners with relevant information about these applicants on or before Jan. 17, 2023.

All proceedings of this Judicial Nominating Commission are open to the public except for deliberations. Accordingly, applicants should not expect their application be kept confidential. If an applicant is nominated by this Commission, all materials attached to the original application along with any supplemental materials will be submitted to Gov. Ron DeSantis’s Office.
