1ST DCA JNC SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR JUDICIAL VACANCY
The First District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission is seeking qualified applicants to fill the vacancy on the First District Court of Appeal created by the elevation of Judge Adam Tanenbaum. Applicants must meet the qualifications for district court judges described in Article V, Section 8 of the Florida Constitution.

Applicants must submit: (1) an unredacted electronic copy of the application (including all attachments) in PDF text-searchable format; and (2) a redacted electronic copy of the application (including all attachments), redacting all exempt or confidential material under applicable public records laws, in PDF text-searchable format. The inclusion of a photograph is encouraged.
Both the unredacted and redacted applications must be submitted via email to Amber Nunnally at [email protected] no later than 12 p.m. on Feb. 9, 2026. Untimely applications will not be considered. Applicants with questions may contact the Chair of the Commission via email.
Following the close of the application period, the Commission will convene via Zoom at 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 9, 2026, to discuss scheduling interviews of the most qualified applicants. Information to access the meeting is below. Members of the public are invited to attend.

The Commission will publish a notice following that meeting with the names of the applicants and the date, time, and location for applicant interviews.
