2ND CIRCUIT JNC ANNOUNCES MEETING TO SELECT APPLICANTS FOR INTERVIEWS
The Second Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) received applications from 22 applicants seeking nomination for appointment to the vacancy on the Second Judicial Circuit Court created by the elevation of Judge Robert Long, Jr. to the First District Court of Appeal, and to the vacancy on the Leon County Court created by the elevation of Judge Layne Smith to the Second Circuit Court.
The JNC will meet at 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, telephonically, to discuss the applications.

An interview schedule will be released following the meeting. Interviews will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020 and Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020.
The members of the Judicial Nominating Commission include the following: Matthew J. Carson, Chair, Dan Russell, Vice-Chair, Hayden Dempsey, Kristina R. Osterhaus, Darrick D. McGhee, Brian Newman, Erik Matthew Figlio, Robert Neil Clarke, Jr, and William Spicola.
