7TH CIRCUIT JNC NOTICE OF MEETING
Notice is hereby given that on August 22nd at 8:30 a.m. the Seventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission will convene for the purpose of discussing a letter dated Aug. 18, 2023, received from Ryan Newman, General Counsel, announcing two vacancies resulting from the retirement of Judge Belle Schumann and the retirement of Judge Judith Campbell.
Said letter requests that the Seventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission convene for purpose of selecting and submitting to Gov. Ron DeSantis the names of highly qualified individuals for consideration and appointment. The Commission has until Oct. 17, 2023, to complete its work.
The Seventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission will meet for the following purposes:
- Discussion;
- Set date for receipt of applications;
- Set or select potential interview dates;
- Such other matters as may come before the Commission.
