NOTICE OF LAKE COUNTY COURT JUDGE VACANCY
The Fifth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission announces a vacancy in the Fifth Judicial Circuit for Lake County Court Judge because of the elevation of Circuit Judge Cary Rada. Applicants must fulfill the constitutional qualifications before assuming the office of County Court judge, which require the appointee to be a member in good standing of The Florida Bar for the preceding five years, a resident of Lake County, and a registered voter in the State of Florida.

Applicants must submit a fully completed, signed, original and one hard copy of the application, along with one electronic copy and one electronic redacted copy (redacting any exempt information under Florida law) which must be delivered to the chair at the address stated above. Please submit a CD or thumb drive containing the application and attachments in PDF format.
The deadline for submitting the applications is Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at 4:30 p.m. No applications will be accepted after such date and time. Applications deemed incomplete may be rejected in their entirety in the Commission’s discretion.
All interviews are scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2020. Applicants will be notified of interview times via email. Because of current challenges posed by COVID-19, the interviews will be held electronically via Zoom conference, which will be accessible to applicants, members of the Judicial Nominating Commission, and members of the public.
