2ND DISTRICT COURT OF APPEAL JNC ANNOUNCES INITIAL MEETING REGARDING COURT VACANCY

TAMPA – Gov. Ron DeSantis has asked the Second District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission to provide him with names of highly qualified nominees for one vacancy on the Second District Court of Appeal created by the resignation of Judge Samuel J. Salario.

To begin that process, the Second District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission will hold its initial meeting on Wednesday, May 27, at 8:30 a.m. The meeting will be held via online video conference using Zoom. For those who cannot attend via video conference, a dial-in telephone number can be provided.

During this initial meeting, the commission will determine the relevant deadlines for the selection process, including, but not necessarily limited to, establishing the deadline for accepting applications from qualified candidates, the date(s) for any subsequent commission meetings to consider the applications received by the commission, and the date(s) on which candidates will be interviewed.
