10TH CIRCUIT JNC ANNOUNCES NOMINEES FOR CIRCUIT COURT OPENING
The Tenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission met via video conference on May 12 and interviewed 16 applicants via video conference for the Circuit Court judge vacancy created because of the resignation of Judge Wm. Bruce Smith. The commission announced that the names of the following nominees, listed in alphabetical order, have been forwarded to Gov. Ron DeSantis:
- General Magistrate Gregory K. Atkinson
- Heather E.W. Beato, Esq.
- Harold V. Bennett, III, Esq.
- Hon. Mary Catherine Green
- Kevin M. Kohl, Esq.
- Jennifer L. Steimle, Esq.
Tenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission members are Lydia Zbrzeznj, chair; Patrice Behnstedt, Benjamin W. Hardin, Jr., Krista Mahalak, Frederick Murphy, E. Blake Paul, Richard E. Straughn and Robert Swaine.
