THE SIXTH CIRCUIT JUDICIAL NOMINATING COMMISSION ANNOUNCES CIRCUIT COURT JUDICIAL VACANCY

The Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission announces a judicial vacancy in Circuit Court due to the retirement and resignation of Judge Anthony Rondolino. The Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission seeks applications for nominations from all persons who meet the eligibility requirements set forth in the Florida Constitution.

Applicants must be able to fulfill the Constitutional qualifications before assuming the office of Sixth Judicial Circuit, Circuit Court Judge, which requires the person to be a member in good standing of The Florida Bar for the preceding five years, a resident of Pinellas County or Pasco County as of the date the Governor makes the appointment, and a registered voter in the State of Florida.

Application forms for the judgeship may be downloaded from Gov. Ron DeSantis’ website, https://www.flgov.com/judicial-and-judicial-nominating-commission-information/. Applications can also be obtained from the Commission Chair, Adam McGill Ross, whose address and electronic mail address appear below.

As of July 1, 2020, there have been changes made to the Application for Judicial vacancies. Applicants must complete the current Application for Judicial vacancies. The original completed Application with attachments, one copy of the original with attachments that has been redacted as required by the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration, a flash drive with both original and redacted Applications with attachments, and a recent photo must be physically delivered to Adam McGill Ross, Chairman, Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, at the address below no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023. Incomplete applications and applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

Applicants receiving interviews will be notified of the date and time of his or her interview. Interviews will be conducted in person.  A list of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission members is available on the Florida Bar’s website.
