TALLAHASSEE - Two seats on The Florida Bar Board of Governors have been decided in runoff elections. Winning two-year terms on the board are Jeremy C. Branning, First Circuit, Seat 1, and Jordan Dresnick, Eleventh Circuit, Seat 3.

Branning outpolled Joseph Passeretti, 272-163, and Dresnick outpolled Patrick Montoya, 1,692-1,577. They will take office June 15, 2018.

Ballots were sent to eligible attorneys in the contested circuits. The deadline to vote was Monday, April 23.

Four unopposed candidates will serve as new BOG members, including two who were elected when their opponents withdrew: Jeffrey Rynor, Eleventh Circuit, Seat 5, and Rosalyn Sia Baker-Barnes, Fifteenth Circuit, Seat 1.

The Board of Governors is the governing body of The Florida Bar, with exclusive authority to formulate and adopt matters of policy concerning the activities of the 106,000-member Bar, subject to limitations imposed by The Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
