Tenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission

The Tenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission announces one new vacancy in the Tenth Judicial County Court due to the appointment of Polk County Judge Gerald P. Hill, II to the Tenth Judicial Circuit. Applicants for this county judgeship must have been a member of The Florida Bar for the preceding five years, must be registered to vote in the State of Florida, and must reside in Polk County* at the time the successful applicant is sworn into office.

Application forms in various word processing formats are available on The Florida Bar website at The original and seven copies of the completed application (no notebooks or binders, please) must be delivered to the Commission Chair at the address appearing below no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 8, 2018. In the past, applications that were not delivered by the specified deadline were not considered by the Commission.

In addition to the original and seven copies, applicants are requested to provide one electronic unredacted (PDF) copy of the application and one electronic redacted (PDF) copy of the application. Any material redacted by the applicant must be limited to exempt or confidential information that is exempt from public inspection pursuant to Chapter 119 and Florida’s public records law.
