David S. Weinstein has joined Hinshaw & Culbertson in Coral Gables as a partner focusing on white collar criminal defense, government investigations, corporate compliance, anti-money laundering initiatives, and Federal Corrupt Practices Act issues.

Nicole Sinder has joined Valiente Law, P.A., in Miami as an associate focusing on family law.

Tyson & Mendes has opened an office in Ft. Lauderdale led by Damian M. Fletcher. The new location will serve the state in complex litigation matters, defending clients in all state and federal courts.

Jody Lamar Finklea has become general counsel and chief legal officer of the Florida Municipal Power Agency in Orlando.

Sally H. Seltzer has joined McIntosh Sawran & Cartaya in Miami as a partner focusing on general liability and professional liability matters, including those filed against insurance agents. Her practice also includes premises liability, negligent security, automobile negligence, insurance coverage, appellate, and commercial litigation.

Seven Tampa employment defense attorneys have created Johnson Jackson LLC. The founders include Kevin Johnson and Erin Jackson. They are joined by Christopher Bentley, LaKisha Kinsey-Sallis, Bridget McNamee, Christopher Johnson, and Ashley Tinsley. The firm will focus on management-side employment law. Bentley and Kinsey-Sallis join the firm as partners. McNamee is a senior associate. Johnson and Tinsley are associates.

Saul Ewing LLP and Arnstein & Lehr LLP have merged. Now known as Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr, the combination creates a firm with 400-plus attorneys in 15 offices stretching down the East Coast from Boston to Miami and extends into the Midwest by way of Chicago. Jeffrey B. Shapiro will lead the firm’s Miami office and will serve on the combined firm’s executive committee.
