Greg Snell has opened Snell Legal PLLC in Ormond Beach, a business law firm.

Jeffrey A. Collier has joined the Tampa office of Stearns Weaver Miller. He focuses on development, zoning, and environmental matters.

Michael N. Wolgin has been elevated to shareholder at Carlton Fields in Miami. Wolgin defends insurance companies and financial services institutions in complex litigation matters.

Elizabeth Mitchell, Paula Romero, and Jeremy Serres have joined Koch Parafinczuk Wolf Susen in Ft. Lauderdale as associates. Mitchell focuses on insurance defense, first-property claims, breach of contract, premises liability, and automobile accidents. Romero and Serres both concentrate on insurance defense, first party property claims, breach of contract, and premise liability.

Heidi Hudson Raschke has been elevated to shareholder with Carlton Fields in Tampa.
Raschke represents clients in complex insurance coverage and extra-contractual matters.

Woodrow H. Pollack has joined Greenberg Traurig in Tampa as a shareholder in the intellectual property and technology practice group.

Brinks Gilson & Lione relocated its Tampa office to 401 East Jackson Street. The firm focuses on intellectual property law.

Wilkofsky, Friedman, Karel & Cummins has relocated to 270 South Central Blvd., Suite 203, in Jupiter. The firm focuses on first-party insurance claims and insurance law.

Robert Sowell and Susan Johns have joined BakerHostetler in Orlando as part of the litigation team.

Sachs Sax Caplan has added Michael S. Weiner and his team of attorneys and staff from the real estate firm of Weiner & Thompson to its Boca Raton office.

Edmund (Ed) McKenna has been named managing shareholder of Ogletree Deakins’ Tampa office. The firm focuses on labor and employment law.

Stephen L. Cohen has joined Sidley Austin in Washington, D.C., as a member of the securities and derivatives enforcement and regulatory practice.

Anya Cintron Stern has opened the Law Firm of Anya Cintron Stern, P.A., in Miami. Stern focuses on matrimonial and family law.

Mark A. Sessums of Sessums Law Group has announced the opening of a new office at 3014 West Palmira Avenue, Suite 202, in Tampa. Sessums is board certified in civil trial law, as well as marital and family law.

The law firm of Ilisa W. Hoffman, P.A., in Coral Gables has changed the name of the firm to Hoffman Fabano, P.A. The firm specializes in medical malpractice defense.

Brett M. Wishna has joined Kubicki Draper in Ft. Lauderdale focusing on PIP, SIU, automobile, and workers’ compensation matters.

Marcus Susen has become a named partner with Ft. Lauderdale based Koch Parafinczuk & Wolf, which has rebranded as Koch Parafinczuk Wolf Susen (KPWS). Susen focuses on products liability, premises liability, auto accidents, breach of contract, and civil theft.

Christopher E. Brown has joined Kelley Kronenberg in Orlando focusing on property and casualty claims, including personal injury, premises liability, construction litigation, products liability, and complex general liability matters involving wrongful death and catastrophic injuries.

Rebecca Bratter has been promoted to deputy managing shareholder of Greenspoon Marder, where she will focus on firm administration and operations, as well as firm strategy and growth.

Frost Van den Boom has merged with The Sutton Law Firm to form Frost Van den Boom & Sutton, P.A., in Polk County. The merger makes available to clients lawyers with four areas of board certification: appellate, business litigation, civil trial law, marital and family law, plus a lawyer with an LL.M. in taxation.

Crystal L. Arocha of Miami, Kimberly K. Berman of Ft. Lauderdale, and Kathleen O. King of Ft. Lauderdale have become partners with McIntosh Sawran & Cartaya.
Arocha focuses on construction defect litigation, catastrophic injury and major claims unit cases, coverage issues and declaratory actions, foreclosure defense, condominium association disputes, lien law and product defect, and premises and general liability. Berman heads the appellate division. King focuses on professional malpractice, including medical, dental, and legal, personal injury, automobile, general liability, and defense of Department of Health matters.

Brad Edwards has become chair of Ft. Lauderdale-based Farmer, Jaffe, Weissing, Edwards, Fistos and Lehrman’s trial and litigation division.

Andrew McDonald and David D. Barnhill have opened McDonald & Barnhill, P.A., in Tampa. The firm focuses exclusively on first-party property insurance litigation and insurance bad faith.

Yelizaveta “Liz” Batres Herman has joined the Palm Beach County Attorney’s Office in West Palm Beach.

Byron D. Flagg has joined Robinson & Cole in Miami focusing on land use and environmental law.

Rachel L. Dobson has joined McConnaughhay, Coonrod, Pope, Weaver & Stern in Ft. Lauderdale focusing on workers’ compensation defense.

John Heber has joined Lewis Brisbois in Ft. Lauderdale as a partner in the corporate and tax practices.

Junilla Sledziewski was made of counsel to Statman, Harris & Eyrich. Sledziewski continues to represent the firm’s banking and finance practice in Chicago, as well as opening her own firm, Kershner Sledziewski Law, LLC. Sledziewski handles matters in Florida, Illinois, and New Mexico, with a focus on real estate transactions and litigation, leasing, creditor’s rights, and general business representation.
