Smith Currie & Hancock help frame a house
ATTORNEYS FROM SMITH CURRIE & HANCOCK in South Florida took time off from their firm retreat to participate in the firm-sponsored community project with Help Build Hope. The organization works with businesses, churches, schools, and other groups to build the frame for a home that is then donated to a partnering organization that helps complete it for a family in need. Smith Currie, a national law firm with a focus on construction law, has offices throughout the country. The firm’s collaboration with Help Build Hope combined giving back to the community and working in construction, the industry that the firm concentrates on. The lawyers partnered with Help Build Hope to frame the house, which was earmarked for a family with a special-needs child. “This was an ideal adjunct to our firm retreat as it was a way to build bonds among the attorneys, and also help the community,” said Brian Wolf, a partner in the firm’s South Florida office, who brought his family to share in the experience. “Besides doing something very meaningful, we gained greater insight about the power of working together and the importance of hands-on hard work.” From the left are Zack Rippeon, Parker Lewton, Joe Young, and Adam Haimo.
