Bar adds three new benefits

A trove of more than 60 free or discounted goods and services available to Florida Bar members continues to swell after the Board of Governors approved three new member benefits.

The board voted unanimously at its December meeting on Amelia Island to approve:

• An agreement with Frames4Diplomas.com. A division of Vibrant Photo and Electronics, Inc., Frames4Diplomas offers, “high-quality, custom-crested, American hardwood frames,” and discounted certificates through a website that will be customized for Florida Bar members.

• An agreement with Orlando Employee Discounts. An exclusive program offered by Affordable Travel of Orlando. Orlando Area Discounts offers participants up to 35 percent discounts for theme park tickets and Orlando area vacation packages.

• An agreement with HMC Healthworks and Wellbeing Coaches. Participants get discounted telephone and online mental-health counseling and other preventative health-care and wellness services.

The board agreed to postpone consideration of a fourth benefit, an agreement with FitBit Health Solutions, for discounted wearable sports technology and other services.
Board member Renee Thompson of Ocala, liaison to the Member Benefits Committee, said the FitBit agreement will likely be taken up for approval at the board’s January meeting in Tallahassee.
