The Florida Federal Judicial Nominating Commission is now accepting applications for the position of United States district court judge, as follows:
• Middle District of Florida: the JNC will select and submit four finalists to Florida’s senators
Completed applications must be received by the commission’s statewide chair, Carlos Lopez-Cantera, via email only and in PDF format, as follows:
• Middle District of Florida: Applications must be received by 5 p.m., October 30..
The chair will distribute all applications electronically to the individual district chairs who will then distribute applications electronically to commission members. Applicants must reference for which district the application is being submitted in the subject line of their email submittal.
Applicants for U.S. district judge, Middle District of Florida, who are selected by the commission for personal interviews will be interviewed December 4 at Orlando International Airport, Orlando Aviation Authority Boardroom, 1 Jeff Fuqua Blvd., in Orlando.
Applicants who are selected for personal interviews will be notified via email by the statewide chair of the time and date of their interview, 30 days or more before the interview date.
